Favorite food rules

March 20, 2011 § Leave a comment

Michael Pollan’s Food Rules is a handy little book that lays out straightforward rules for eating well and wisely in an age of food industry and factory farming. My favorites:

“Eat all the junk food you want as long as you cook it yourself.”

“Eat animals that have themselves eaten well.”

“Breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince, dinner like  a pauper.”

“Treat treats as treats.”

“Cook.”

“Break the rules once in a while.”
